April 29, 2025Pouring Pints and Building Community: Meet Dave & Becca
If you’ve ever walked through the doors of The Casual Pint at Countryside Village, chances are you’ve been greeted with a smile, a cold beer, and maybe even by name. That’s just how Dave and Becca do things. As the owners of this cozy Omaha staple, they’ve spent the last eight years building not just a business—but a community.
Dave and Becca’s story started a few states away in Knoxville, Tennessee. Back then, they were just customers—two craft beer fans who were gifted a Casual Pint gift card by close friends. That one visit sparked something big. “From the second I walked in, I was overwhelmed—in a good way—by all the fun choices to try,” Dave recalls. Fast forward a few years, and with a move back to the Omaha area on the horizon, the couple knew they wanted to bring that same magic back with them. The Casual Pint Countryside Village was born out of that dream.
Now, their bar is a neighborhood favorite and a fixture in Omaha’s tight-knit craft beer scene. You’ll often find local brews on tap—from nearly every brewery in town—as well as special collaborations and one-of-a-kind flavors brewed with Nebraska-grown hops. “Some of our best friends own breweries,” Dave says, “and we get to tap their beer. It’s just the best.”
Their spot in the historic Countryside Village shopping plaza—dating back to 1955—makes the experience all the more special. “It’s a first-of-its-kind plaza filled with iconic stores and restaurants,” Dave shares. “We love being in the Westside community. We’re the pit stop before the big game, or the last stop on the way home with the kids.”
But it’s not just about the beer or the location—it’s about the people. Dave and Becca have built something personal. “I can look out over the bar and tell you the first names of 75% of our customers,” Dave says. “Our bar is constantly filled with friends meeting up. That’s what it’s all about.”
That deep sense of connection extends beyond the bar and into the heart of Omaha. The Casual Pint – Countryside Village proudly supports local nonprofits and causes, donating gift cards and sponsoring fundraisers year-round. One cause especially close to their hearts? Mustaches for Kids Omaha, an annual campaign where Dave, Becca, and their team grow mustaches and raise money for local children’s charities. The impact? Over a million dollars raised by the Omaha chapter in recent years alone.
Whether you’re here for a crisp Kros Strain Pilsner, some saucy buffalo nugs with blue cheese, or just a laid-back night catching up with old friends, Dave and Becca are always happy to have you.
Their hope is simple: “We want guests to feel like they’re home. Comfortable. Like this is your favorite place to be with your people.”
So next time you’re in the neighborhood, stop by The Casual Pint at Countryside Village. Grab a pint, say hi to Dave and Becca, and raise a glass to community, craft beer, and the people who make it all feel like home. 🍻
